Youth Exchange in Armenia

Thumbnail imageIn January some members of our charter participated in a youth exchange in Armenia where Stepenavan Youth Center (SYC) organizes many exchanges every year. This youth exchange focused on ecology and problems concerning water resources and that’s why it was called “Water and Youth”. The other participants came from Poland, Georgia, Russia and Armenia. They all learnt through nonformal education about water resources in their countries. There were many workshops, documentary screenings, international evening with traditional meals and lot of games. During the exchange we also planned a project for the Stepanavan community about cleanliness of rivers, recycling etc. During our stay we visited hydrological station in Vanadzor to learn about the situation from scientific point of view. We also visited the capital Jerevan. Thanks again to the organizers Lilit and Aresen Symonian who made this project wonderful.
