Waterfall 2011

PTPI Chapter Šternberk has already organized countless rafting events called Waterfall. However this year’s rafting weekend was unforgettable. Why? Because of the lost glasses? Camera that fell into the water (fortunately saved)? Sun burns or sunstroke? No, it was truly unforgettable because of the luxurious accommodation. On Saturday morning April 31st we headed to Southern Moravia to the river Dyje. We wanted a change from the usual river Morava but it wasn’t a big change, Dyje was just as slow. Luckily the rain caught us on the way to the hotel. We knew we were going to stay in cottages by a hotel at Vranovská přehrada (Vranov reservoir). Nobody told us though that the cottages will be equipped with heating (which we appreciated the most), shower, fridge, TV and comfortable beds. When we saw the feast they call breakfast there, we felt like in heaven.

Even though the weather was bad on the first Sunday of May, some of us saw the underground of
the town Znojmo, others went for a walk and some of us weren’t fed up with sport yet and played
squash. Not everything worked out but it was perfect Waterfall.
