Summer camp in Hostejn

Hello everyone there!!

We are not dead; it’s just that we have had lot and long things since the last time we wrote ;)

First of all we went 15 days to our summer camp, it was indescribably great!! It took place in the middle of the mountains in a beautiful site called “Hoštejn”; for you to have an idea: we were living in tents and there was a big wooden house for the kitchen, dining room and storage room where, by the way, we had friendly dormouse mates!!!!!!! Of course, we didn’t have any kind of luxuries, it was necessary to pump water from the river for we to be able to cook and clean, we had to cut wood for the kitchen, there was no electricity so we approached the sun light as much as possible and then we managed with candles and flashlights. I know that after all these explanations, you are wondering how we took showers there, so it was the easiest task because we had some kind of bathroom and the only thing we had to do was pump and warm the water to that water tank, not so bad ;) We really enjoyed living in that conditions, it was so natural and funny!!!

As the camp theme was “Braty v triku”, during these days we were playing games related to Czech fairytales; we had very nice games everyday, but we did other interesting activities as well: trips to the mountain, sleeping rough, went to the swimming pool in a village close to our camp, competition with scouts, night games, gymkhanas, singing around the bonfire, we learned a lot of survival tips and how to make handmade wire bracelets… These days were full of fun and emotions!! We wish you could feel at least the half of our happiness during the camp!!!
